Image Sizer is a shareware application that was born out of my own need for a very quick photo resizer/reducer (and image sizing) software in order to be able upload photos to the net or send to family members. After telling some of my family and friends about this, it instantly became apparent that they needed the same thing! With the help and spec of my family members we created this photo resizer for the non technical user, that allows you to resize images fast and with no knowledge of image processing. Size your photos and images instantly with a WYSIWYG view of the new photo/image loaded! 

What does it do ?

Well if your here, then you probably already know!
A lot of people now own digital cameras, and the quality of the photos is great and getting better. However the downside for this is the fact that the camera takes photos at a pixel rate much higher than your screen! This is excellent for people who want to print, but what about using those photos for anything else, like email / websites etc. they are far to big and need to be resized.

This is where Image Sizer comes in, just load you picture up and instantly the photo is resized to a level that can be easily used on the web (naturally you can chose your own settings)! It's honestly so simple ANYONE can use it! Then of course you can save / email / FTP the WYSIWYG image! Image Sizer is designed for ease of use, it can ONLY do one photo/image at a time, if you want to do a whole load of photos.

Examples of use:

- Photos to e-mail (e-mail function built in)

- Photos to upload to your own website (ftp function built in!)

- Auctions item images, there is always a KB size and dimension size limitation in what they will let you upload (e.g. E-bay).

- Forums boards, again there is a KB size limitation in what they will let you upload

- Webpages, we all hate waiting for badly compressed (non compressed) images!

- You can even (if needed) change the WIDTH and HEIGHT of a picture in proportions

It should be noted that images that have been compressed/resized are not as suitable for printing, unless you are printing very small images. Image sizer is not designed to enlarge images, although it will, the quality will not be fantastic.

Shareware

Definition : Copyrighted software available for downloading on a free, limited trial basis; if you decide to use the software, you're expected to register and pay a small fee. By doing this, you become eligible for assistance and updates from the author. Contrast to public domain software which is not copyrighted or to freeware which is copyrighted but requires no usage fee.

Image Sizer is Shareware, this means that you can use it totally free for up to 10days. The only limitation is seeing the Nag screen at startup !
