Overview
Spamihilator works between your E-Mail client and the Internet and examines every incoming E-Mail. Useless spam mails (Junk) will be filtered out. This process runs completely in the background.
The new Learning Filter (Bayesian Filter) uses the rules of Thomas Bayes (English mathematician, 18th century) and calculates a certain Spam-Probability for every E-Mail. You can train this filter! So it will know your messages even better than you. Hence the recognition rate will continuously increase.
In addition Spamihilator uses a Word-Filter, that searches messages for known keywords.
Of course, Spamihilator supports Plugins. These useful additional filters protect your system against annoying spam mails.
The program works with almost every E-Mail client, such as Outlook 2000/XP/2003/Express, Eudora, Mozilla, Netscape, IncrediMail, Pegasus Mail, Phoenix Mail, Opera, etc...

Spam Recognition
The Learning Filter recognizes more than 98% of all incoming spam mails. Use the Training Area, to increase the recognition rate continuously.
You can also specify certain words, that often appear in spam mails. The Spam-Word-Filter will look for these words.
There's yet another highlight: the DCC-Filter can connect with the DCC Network to recognize unsolicited bulk mail.
Install Plugins to increase Spamihilator's recognition rate even more! Plugins add new features and filters to the program.
 

Support of POP3 and IMAP accounts
Since version 0.9.9 Spamihilator is able to receive e-mails from POP3 and IMAP accounts!
Furthermore the new version supports Cross-Protocolling. Hence, it is possible to receive e-mails from IMAP accounts with an e-mail client, that supports only POP3, and vice versa
 

Secure Connections
Spamihilator is able to establish secure connections over SSL/TLS (2). The communication between Spamihilator and the mail server will be encrypted, so no one can read your e-mails or spy out your passwords.

Lists of Senders
Add your buddys' mail addresses to the List of Friends. Spamihilator will render all messages from these senders to your mail client.
Messages from senders, which are listed on the List of blocked senders, will always be blocked. Spamihilator is even able to delete such messages directly on the mail server without downloading them! (optional)

Separate Spam and Non-Spam!
All recognized spam mails will be saved to the Spamihilator Recycle Bin. They will not be rendered to your mail client. Ideally you don't even have to check the Recycle Bin, so a best possible separation between Spam and Non-Spam can be achieved!
Of course, you can restore messages from the Recycle Bin.
Use the Training Area to teach Spamihilator. It will learn which mails are Spam and which are not. It will become better and better! After a few days of training the recognition rate will be at least 98%!

Usability
Actually, Spamihilator runs with all mail clients that support POP3.
Of course, there is a Setup-Wizard, which automatically configures your mail client (3).
Spamihilator is available with several translations and has got a comprehensive Online Help. Furthermore the program lets you know when there is a new version available.
