Guitar Pro is a multitrack tablature editor for guitar, banjo and bass. Besides writing scores, Guitar Pro is a useful resource for guitarists from beginner to experienced levels to progress , compose , or simply accompany themselves.

INTERFACE

Interchangeable user interface

Guitar Pro 5 now comes with a 'skinable' interface, making it possible to change the icons at any moment. Guitar Pro 5 has three interfaces.

Four display styles: Page / Parchment / Vertical Scroll / Horizontal Scroll
The new displays allow you to instantly view your score as it will appear in its printed version.

Multiple selection
New in Guitar Pro 5, the multiple selection allows you to edit your score effectively. It allows the rapid copy/paste of a group of notes, add effects such as palm mute, accentuated notes and let ring.
It also allows the modification of the setup of your score by means of the stem and beam functions of the standard notation.
Finally, the multiple selection can be used to play in a loop or with increased tempo, a selection of the score.

SCORE
Entirely revised score format
Guitar Pro 5 now comes with a visual quality close to that of commercially published songbooks.

Complete musical direction
With five targets (Coda, Double-Coda, Segno, Double-Segno and Fine) and 14 possible jumps, you can control with precision the playback of your score.

TABLATURE

Note duration (%)
It is now possible to indicate the duration of a note as a percentage of its theoretical duration. This option can be very useful in for example, fine tuning the let ring, staccato and palm mute functions or with harmonic notes.

Tied Note effects
It is now possible to add effects on tied notes.

Bar syncopation
With Guitar Pro 5 it is possible to change the syncopation (feel) of the bar and set the syncopation to a sixteenth note.

SOUND

Midi playback
The playback of effects such as vibrato, bends or slides have been greatly improved. The 'Human Playing' and 'Auto-Accentuation on the beat' have been added. It is now possible to select a midi bank.

Realistic Sound Engine (RSE)

Guitar Pro 5 has a brand new sound engine, RSE [Realistic Sound Engine], giving a realistic sound without the need of specialised material or sound cards.
